Insert the probe into the soil and leave for 1 min and read the dial: DRY - A sign most plant pals need some re-hydration MOIST - Where most indoor plant pals are happy and well hydrated WET - Step away from the watering can, your plant pals have plenty of water Once done, remove the probe and wipe down with a cloth or tissue.

For plants that like to have the top few cm of soil dry out before watering, use the probe to test moisture levels at different levels of soil.
