Plant Care Guide: String of Beads

String of Beads // Senecio Herreianus

A sister of little miss popular String of Pearls, the String of Beads (like their name suggests) are beaded shapes of goodness. These hanging succulents prefer bright indirect light, and a little more hydration than most succulents. Style with her stunning vines trailing over the pot for the ultimate impact.

Love notes

Keep your plant pal nourished and supported with a good quality plant food like We The Wild Grow Concentrate and We The Wild Support Pellets. These powerful plant essentials will keep your plants happy, strong and resilient, and will reward you with new growth a'plenty!

Don't forget to wipe down those succulent strings when they're looking a little dusty. You can also spray with We The Wild Protect Spray every couple of weeks to keep leaves looking lush and healthy.

Follow the recommended advise on watering above - if unsure, a Moisture Meter could be your secret weapon! This handy tool will show you exactly how dry your soil is to avoid any over or under watering fails.

To ensure your new bestie gets enough drainage, we recommend keeping them in a nursery pot and displaying in a cover pot. If you do want to pot up your plant, make sure your decorative pot has a drainage hole and you've removed the plug.

String of Beads prefer a little more hydration than most succulents, so be sure to follow the watering guide above, and water before they have dried out completely. Their beautiful beads can also struggle if they're sitting atop very wet soil for too long, so its best to allow her vines to trail while watering. Or better yet, give bottom watering a go by placing her grow pot in a shallow dish of water for 10-20 mins, for her to soak up what she needs  each time she needs some re-hydration.
