Plant Care Guide: Umbrella Plant

Umbrella Plant // Schefflera

This glossy green gal makes for an easy-care Frond fit for all. Her versatile nature means she'll easily tolerate medium light levels, but pop her in some bright, indirect light to see her really shine. She's a quick grower, so don't forget to give her a spin every so often to keep her growing lush and full.

These beauties thrive in humid conditions, so you can give them a mist every so often, and don't forget to wipe down those leaves when they're looking a little dusty. You can also spray with We The Wild Protect Spray every couple of weeks to keep leaves looking lush and healthy.

Follow the recommended advise on watering above - if unsure, a Moisture Meter could be your secret weapon! This handy tool will show you exactly how dry your soil is to avoid any over or under watering fails.

To ensure your new bestie gets enough drainage, we recommend keeping them in a nursery pot and displaying in a cover pot. If you do want to pot up your plant, make sure your decorative pot has a drainage hole and you've removed the plug.

The umbrella plant is an easy going gal that will add instant lushness to your space. Keep her happy and she'll reward you with speedy growth during the warmer months. Overwatering is her biggest foe, and is likely the cause of any yellow leaves, so if you see any of these, have a quick check of the soil and put the watering aside for a week or so if it's feeling wet.
